James H. Van Steenhouse – CEO
James H. VanSteenhouse leads one of the fastest growing mortgage companies in the industry. As CEO, his focus is to provide mortgage originators a partnership insuring the successful outcome of every transaction. Jim believes detailed and complete packaging should be rewarded with the industry's best service. He is committed to InterLinc's mission statement: "On time and as agreed."
 

Gene F. Thompson III
President
Gene brings a refreshing attitude and skills to mortgage banking. His superior sales and operations experience make him one of a kind in our industry. Gene's ability to negotiate arrangements and associations with Builders and Realtors as well as assist production officers in the field is second to none.

 
Virgil Garcia – VP Human Resources
Virgil Garcia brings more than two decades of experience to his role as VP of human resources at InterLinc Mortgage Services, LLC. Prior to InterLinc, Virgil was corporate human resources manager for a large Houston-based mortgage company employing approximately 1,000 employees around the US. The majority of Virgil’s career has been spent in the hospitality industry with The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, Adam’s Mark, St. Anthony and Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton Company and Taco Cabana restaurant group. Virgil is certified as a human resource executive and holds a CHRE diploma from the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He is a past president of the Houston Hotel & Motel Human Resources Management Association and a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at the Conrad Hilton School at the University of Houston.
 


Jason Baker
Jason is a leader in Secondary Marketing and the Mortgage Servicing Portfolio field with widely acknowledged expertise by institutional lenders across the US. His knowledge and experience in capital markets include securitization, AOT, and bulk transactions and has run a 500 million dollar servicing portfolio.

 

Jessica Henke

Jessica Henke brings over 10 years experience to the management of InterLinc’s accounting team, overseeing the company’s accounting systems and preparation of all financial reports and analysis and individual branch financials. Previously, Jessica restructured other mortgage lending accounting departments to accommodate the high volume complex transactions processed each day, streamlining procedures, while adhering to strict internal controls and industry best practices.




 


Marcia King
Marcia King brings over twenty years experience in all facets of mortgage banking navigating the snares and traps of regulatory compliance and risk management. Prior to joining InterLinc, she was a consultant to mortgage lenders and financial institutions and subsequently the compliance officer for a mortgage company operating in over forty states.

 

William T. Hunter – Director of Business Development

William T. "Billy" Hunter, Director of Business Development, has one major function within InterLinc ....and that is attracting and signing new Branches across Texas and around the nation. Billy is a 40 year veteran in the mortgage industry and has a vast amount of understanding working with mortgage professionals and addressing the wants and needs of mortgage originators. Billy's experience in branch operations, proper flow of mortgage information, and customer service desires are ready to be put to work for you. David Rodriguez – Director of Business Development

David provides the highest level of service for both clients and strategic partners with proven leadership, unmatched expertise and consistent on-time closings. His strength is in recruiting and developing key performers and motivating teams to achieve business objectives. Additionally he is proficient in forging cooperative relationships with joint-venture partners and business decision-makers across lending and real estate spectrum.

 

Valerie Burk – National Underwriting Manager

Valerie is known throughout Texas as being one of the most efficient and capable underwriters in the state. It is no wonder that she has put together an underwriting team that is considered by most as "simply awesome." While we know every loan cannot be approved, Valerie and her team work with each client to approve and close your loan.

 

Todd Wedlake – Information Technology Manager
Todd bridges together an uncommon knowledge of both the IT industry of 23 years and the Mortgage industry of 12 years to create a “technologically” driven force in our industry. Todd’s uncanny ability to understand the ever-changing Mortgage industry, the ever-changing IT industry, and the ability to piece the two worlds together, provides for excellent forward thinking leadership abilities to InterLinc.
 


Melanie Turcios – Operations Manager
Melanie Turcios began her career in the mortgage industry in 1996 as a credit investigator for a credit reporting agency. Moving to a local Mortgage Company in the Houston area she quickly became one of the lead closers for the organization. Today, Melanie has dramatically improved InterLinc’s position with our Investors and Warehouse lines by monitoring and lowering our turn times and improving our suspense deficiencies.

 

Rachel Zakos – Exec. Assistant to the Pres. & CEO

Rachel Zakos provides a concrete foundation needed to maintain InterLinc’s productive management team. With attention to every detail, Rachel’s organizational and customer service skill set brings a positive energy while correctly navigating the priorities in the office. Rachel’s unique personality and passion to her role is her outlet to strive for excellence.
